I'm an out of state Ag and I've been told that it's hard to get in as an out of stater but honestly A&M started as a back up for me, I didn't see it as a challenge to get in. I think the high percentage of in-state has more to do with tuition and the fact that Texans have a pride in being from Texas so more Texas students stay in-state. More importantly, A&M doesn't work very hard to reel in out of state students. I don't think its actually harder for out of staters to get in.
